Democracy

Democracy depends on people having power over themselves first of all.

Before anything else, personal power comes from having equal ground rights respected – it’s the foundation of life, justice, freedom, prosperity, and peace.

Equal ground rights must be recognised economically in practice by recognising to everyone within each community their equal share of ground rents.

The level of public services must be agreed upon by the citizens of each community, always funded from the ground rent / citizen’s dividend.

Ground rents are fully distinct from personal rents and from property rents.

Ground rents

Ground rents respect to the value of being at a certain location. They can also be referred to as horizontal space rents or reality monopolisation rents, among many other designations. Ground rents are the fundamental economic rent.
